Operation Gratitude

Students, parents, and staff at TES collected items for service men/women and first-responders. The collection was done as a parent activity before the school's Valentine's Day party. Some of the items that were collected were: tootbrushes, toothpaste, tissues, chapstick, deodorant, razors, shaving cream, lotions, small games, stuffed toys, handwritten letters, and paracord bracelets. The students in 4th and 5th grades made the paracord bracelets by following instructions provided on operationgratitude.com. The school collected enough items to fill five boxes. If you would like to see more of what Operation Gratitude does, visit their website at operationgratitude.com

Pumpkin Projects

Students were challenged to transform ordinary pumpkins into main characters of their selected books. This project entailed reading a book of choice, analyzing character traits, summarizing the story, drafting a blueprint, and then creating the final product to share with the entire school population.
This annual tradition is something that the younger students look forward to and it is enjoyed by all.
